JCOE (J-ing, C-ing, O-ing, E-ing) steel pipe is a longitudinally welded pipe manufactured through a multi-step forming process. It is widely used in oil & gas pipelines, water transmission, and structural applications due to its high strength and precise dimensional control.
Manufacturing Process:
J-ing: The steel plate is pre-bent into a "J" shape at both edges.
C-ing: The plate is further pressed into a "C" shape.
O-ing: The open "C" section is compressed into an "O" (round) shape.
E-ing (Expanding): The pipe is mechanically expanded to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Material & Grades:
Complies with API 5L, ISO 3183, EN 10224 standards.
Common grades: Gr.B, X42 to X80 (PSL1/PSL2) with enhanced toughness for low-temperature service.
Dimensions & Tolerances:
Diameter: 219 mm to 1422 mm (or custom sizes).
Wall Thickness: 6 mm to 40 mm.
Length: Typically 6-12.2 m (or as per project requirements).
Mechanical Properties (Example - X65 PSL2):
Yield Strength (Rt0.5): ≥450 MPa (65,300 psi).
