III. Process Description
Model-Driven Welding:
1)The user imports a 3D model (STEP, or IFC format) of the workpiece to be welded. The software automatically parses the geometric topology relationships.
2)The operator performs laser line scanning and coarse positioning for large workpieces to determine the placement of the workpiece.
3)The software automatically extracts weld seam information, matches welding parameters, and performs trajectory planning
4)A full-path collision detection check is conducted. Once verified and error-free, the planned path is dispatched to the robot.
5)The robot executes the welding process: it performs precise scanning and localization for each weld seam before initiating welding.
Model-Free Reverse Modeling Welding:
1)After an operator tack-welds the workpiece(s) in Station 1, the robot moves to Station 1 and performs a comprehensive scan of the workpiece(s) using the 3D compound camera (multiple parts can be recognized simultaneously).
